IT Governance Lead
Build a new IT Governance function from the ground up. Hybrid work in Stockholm, with a real mandate and real impact.
Ready to build something from the ground up? As our first IT Governance Lead, you’ll get a clear mandate to shape how IT Operations handles risk, compliance and control. You’ll bring structure where it matters most, make everyday work easier for many colleagues and set the standard for the future. Your work will reduce manual effort and strengthen our regulatory standing as a bank, and you’ll influence how we govern IT for many years to come.
We are IT Operations at NOBA. As a bank, we work under continuous audit scrutiny and evolving regulatory demands, including DORA. That’s why we’re now establishing a dedicated IT Governance function to bring structure, alignment and scalability to how we manage compliance, risk and asset governance. You’ll report to the Head of IT Operations and work closely with all our domain leads.
About the role:
As IT Governance Lead, you’ll combine strategic ownership with hands-on delivery: you set the direction, own the outcomes and dive into the detail when needed. You’ll be the go-to person for governance across IT Operations, reporting to the Head of IT Operations.
Your main responsibilities:
Build and implement a structured Governance, Risk and Compliance operating model
Manage and implement new regulations affecting IT Operations
Coordinate recurring obligations such as DR testing, exit plan testing and policy renewals, so nothing critical is missed
Drive audit finding management, from identification through remediation and evidence
Lead and facilitate AI governance
Develop the asset and license governance framework, setting the standard and consolidating the overall view
Manage the IT Operations risk control register together with relevant legal, compliance and risk organizations, to ensure controls are reviewed and updated continuously
Who we're looking for:
You enjoy building and creating order where none exists yet. You’re structured, curious, take initiative and find it easy to collaborate and build trust with many different colleagues. With your commitment, you help people pull in the same direction.
In addition, we’re looking for you who:
Have experience in IT governance, risk or compliance, ideally within financial services or another regulated industry
Are familiar with DORA, GDPR or comparable regulatory frameworks
Have a builder’s mindset and are comfortable establishing structure where little currently exists, rather than maintaining an established function
Have strong stakeholder management skills and enjoy working closely with every domain lead in IT Operations
Have experience with GRC tooling, which is a plus, though your first task will be building the operating model itself
In addition to this, it is important to us that you recognize yourself in our values: we are wholehearted, we collaborate and we take the lead.
