System Specialist - Core Banking
Bring your core banking expertise and turn complex requirements and regulations into stable solutions at NOBA.
NOBA is building a new core banking system, and we're looking for the expert who can help us get it right. As System Specialist, you take a key role in this brand-new build, with real ownership and influence over how our financial products work from the inside. Your experience will make a visible impact.
The team Projects and Product Development is a driving force for change at NOBA. We optimize processes and system support across the organization, with a long-term view and stable solutions in mind. So far we've built onboarding for mortgages and personal loans. Now we're taking on our first own core system, working side by side with the business and our software engineering team.
About the role
You will own the requirements for one of the core systems behind NOBA's financial products, sitting between business, legal and development. You turn complex rules, regulations and business needs into clear specifications, and drive them through to implementation, so our solutions are stable and compliant.
In your role, you will:
Be the driving force in keeping our core solutions for financial products optimized
Analyze complex processes, rules and regulations across the customer life cycle, including new regulations such as CCD2
Talk to stakeholders to make sure every aspect is considered when specifying a change
Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable system specifications and the documentation that goes with them
Explain complex flows in a way that works for both developers and the business
Drive the implementation of changes in the core systems together with development and business teams
Make sure our system solutions are stable, compliant and support efficient end-to-end processes
Who we're looking for
You're an accountable team player who stays calm when things get complex. You take the lead through influence rather than title, driving things forward and owning your delivery. You communicate clearly, build trust across teams, share your knowledge generously and adapt when priorities shift.
In addition to this, we're looking for someone who:
Has detailed knowledge of at least one commercial financial product, such as mortgages, personal loans, credit cards or savings accounts, and its processes
Has deep and broad knowledge of what happens "under the hood" in a core banking system, for example data models, transaction life cycle, integrations and APIs, and batch versus real-time processing
Can translate business and regulatory requirements into concrete system specifications and write clear requirement documentation
Knows the regulations related to personal loans and deposits
Has a systematic approach to implementing change, and strong logical and systems thinking
Has experience from banking and finance, fintech or a system vendor
Speaks Swedish and English (Danish, Norwegian, Finnish or German is a plus)
In addition to this, it is important to us that you recognize yourself in our values: we are wholehearted, we collaborate and we take the lead.
