Lead Engineer - IT Workplace (M365)

We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer – IT Workplace (Microsoft 365) to join our IT Operations team and play a key role in shaping the future of our modern digital workplace.

In this role, you will take ownership of our Microsoft 365 environment, supporting around 1,000 users on a secure, scalable, and user-friendly Windows 11 platform. You will combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic responsibility to ensure a modern, efficient, and secure workplace experience.
About the role:
As our Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, governance, and continuous improvement of our digital IT workplace. You will work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders, acting as a bridge between technology and user needs.
This is a key role in driving our workplace transformation, ensuring high standards in security, compliance, and user experience.
You will be part of our IT Operations team of 17 colleagues based in Oslo and Stockholm, working with cloud solutions, infrastructure, workplace services, and IT support.
Main tasks:
Own and develop the Microsoft 365 platform, including roadmap and governance
Design and implement modern IT workplace solutions aligned with business and IT strategy
Ensure security, compliance, and best practices across the M365 environment
Drive adoption of tools and services across the organization
Maintain operational excellence, including documentation, support, and platform stability
Manage device lifecycle, Windows 11 environments, and endpoint management
Coordinate with vendors and external partners
We are looking for you who have:
Solid experience with Microsoft 365, including Entra ID and Intune
Strong knowledge of cloud services, endpoint management, and security (e.g., Conditional Access, Defender, data protection)
At least 3-5 years of experience in a technical role within IT Workplace
Experience managing Windows 11 environments and modern workplace platforms
Proficiency in PowerShell automation
Experience leading cloud transformation or workplace modernization initiatives
Fluent in English
It's positive if you:
Experience working in a regulated organization
Relevant certifications like: Microsoft365, Entra and Office365
Fluent in Swedish and/or the Norwegian language
