About the role
Join Bank Norwegian as a Software Developer on our Credit Engine team, where you’ll build and scale the tech that powers tens of thousands of automated credit decisions daily. You’ll work on challenging problems at the intersection of software, data and consumer finance, helping millions of customers access financial services. If you’re excited about writing clean code, solving real-world problems, and thriving in a fast-paced fintech environment, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Build, test, and deploy the core credit decision engine that drives our business.
- Write clean, secure, and maintainable Python code that meets high standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ship new features.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and compliance.
- Develop tools and infrastructure for analytics and simulations.
- Contribute to credit risk and fraud detection models (if interested).
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years of software development experience, ideally with backend systems.
- Strong Python skills and experience with relational databases.
- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Comfortable using Git for version control.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and containerization (e.g. Docker).
- Experience with Databricks.
