NOBA Bank Group continues its exciting journey, and we are now looking for a Portfolio Risk Analyst to join our NPL Management team!
The NPL Management team consists of individuals from various departments within the organization, strategically brought together to maximize the value of NOBA's NPLs while safeguarding the borrowers financial well-being. As a part of this team, you will be working with NPL sales across NOBA, covering multiple countries, brands (Bank Norwegian & Nordax), and products.
This position can be based in Stockholm or Oslo.
About The Role
In the role of Portfolio Risk Analyst, you will play an important role in strengthening the capabilities of the NPL Management team, specifically within NPL sales. Your primary objective will be to facilitate and streamline the process of NPL sales by making informed decisions regarding the scope of preparing relevant data, conducting complete portfolio valuations and effectively managing the entire sales process.
Our NPL Management team is currently in a developmental phase, providing a great opportunity for you to influence the direction and growth of the team.
Key responsibilities:
- Be part of developing the NPL Management team into a proactive manager of NPL’s having a wide set of tools to effectively manage collections, sales and structuring
- Improvement and development of NPL valuation models, reports and processes to more effectively manage our NPL’s
- Scope out portfolios from NOBA’s NPL stocks that will fulfill NOBA’s NPL strategy and at the same time being attractive for potential investors
- Carry out NOBA’s independent valuation of NPL portfolios that are for sale
- Assess own valuation against the bank's current book value and expected future cash flow from ECL calculation
- Present results from price calculations for NPL sales and management, closely collaborating with stakeholders to determine the necessary price range to achieve book value
- Put together data tapes that will be used as a basis for evaluation by potential investors, and further handle questions regarding data
- Assist in carrying out the transaction, including investor contact, due diligence, closing, etc.
- Other such related tasks within NPL and Credit Underwriting & Decision Analytics
We believe you have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in valuing NPL portfolios and effectively communicating findings and conclusions
- Expertise in common valuation models utilized from the investor's perspective
- NPL experience from at least one of the Nordic NPL markets
- Hands-on involvement in the entire sale/purchase process, from scoping to closing
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL and at least one additional programming/statistical language such as SAS, R, Python, etc.
Other qualifications that are good to have:
- Proficiency in a Scandinavian language
- Experience from NPL securitization or other structured transactions
